CGB393 Berceuse

Description

Berceuse, translated cradle song or lullaby, is a transcription of a composition by Fauré originally written for piano. Its lyrical melodies are gentle and provide a nice contrast to the flowing sixteenth note accompaniment patterns. Since LV is the only handbell technique used, interest is dependent on close attention being paid to phrasing and dynamics. This piece offers the opportunity to work on shaping melodies and bringing out melodies over accompaniments. It might be used as an offertory or prelude in addition to adding contrast to more brilliant selections in a concert setting.
