CGB692 Away in a Manger (2 or 3 octaves)
Description
This work combines two of the best-known carol melodies associated with its title. It is delightfully simple enough for beginning choirs and also perfect for more advanced choirs to prepare at a moment's notice for Christmas services. A few eighth notes, along with some echo techniques to symbolize the rocking of a cradle, are the most difficult requirements. The two editions are compatible for massed ringing.
Voicing: handbells 2 or 3 octaves
Composer: William James Kirkpatrick, 1838-1921
Arranger: Valerie W. Stephenson
Level: 2-
